Nylon (Polyamide 6) is a widely used engineering thermoplastic with high resistance to abrasion and impact. Due to its low specific weight it is commonly used as a replacement material for bronze, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals. It has excellent sliding properties (on POM and steel) and except (PA with PA).  Good chemical resistance to machine oils, carbon hydrogen, but not to acids. However it has a high degree of water absorption which increases impact resistance and vibration resistance, but can also cause dimensional changes. Can be used in different applications such as in the manufacture of parts for cogwheels, levers, screws, friction bearings, valve seats, sliding guides, gears, gasoline tanks, pulleys, rollers, etc.

PETG carbon fiber

Nylon

PETG reinforced with carbon fiber has improved mechanical properties with being more stiff, 10% more impact resistant and higher heat deflection (85ºC) when compared with normal PETG.It has a matte surface finish making the layer lines almost imperceptible.
